Grammar, structure, style, voice, punctuation: they matter.
Editing is like weeding. Weeding words, to make space for the best possible writing to shine. It’s a job best suited to a word nerd.
My eyes are satisfied when correcting anomalies and making sure characters are realistic and compelling. I am well-read across genres because I graduated with a degree in anthropology (the one about humans, not insects) and English from the University of Sydney and I’ve almost completed a master’s degree in creative writing which equates to rigorous workshopping and editing of original works.
I can work with you on fiction or narrative nonfiction projects, doctoral theses, scripts for plays, films or documentaries.
If you need an editor or writer, please write to me. I enjoy receiving letters.
